About Kathleen.

On this website you can see the entire range of Kathleen's work that has been carefully designed and consciously developed to create a family of lighting products that are designed to last. All the designs are intended to work together, so we love it when then are mixed and matched!
Kathleen's family have a long history of making things in London, with one grandmother, a couture seamstress on The Strand and the other a pioneering florist, the very first female flower buyer at London's Covent Garden Flower Market! Kathleen's parents founded one of London’s last remaining die and sand casting foundries. So, it's fair to say that Kathleen grew up with lots of designing and making in lots of materials and across all generations! At a very young age, designing and making was the only way forward for Kathleen. So, after achieving a 1st class honours degree from Central St Martins and an MA from the Royal College of Art, Kathleen set up her business in 2002 and proceeded to work on lots of exciting projects and slowly grow her range of carefully considered and beautifully made, lighting designs.
Alongside running her business Kathleen has always enjoyed teaching the next generation of young designers. She has been an Associate Lecturer in Product Design and Ceramics at the prestigious Central St Martins for over fifteen years and she is a Senior Lecturer at Kingston School of Art, on the countries leading Product and Furniture Design Degree.
