After setting up business in 2002, Kathleen has built up an impressive and extensive range of beautiful lighting products. The lights have been featured in many publications and have received various awards.
The lights have been used on many exciting projects: ASOS Headquarters, The Drift Bar at The Heron Tower, Whistles Stores, Pizza Express, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Jack Wills, Canterbury University and The Radisson Group of Hotels amongst others.
Having grown up in a manufacturing family, with her parents founding one of Londons last remaining die and sand casting foundries, Kathleen grew up with patterns and moulds in the home around her. Kathleen is fascinated in the process of making and its connection with industry. Her work draws on ideas of Britishness, promoting the quality of craftmanship and the process of manufacture.
Kathleen has a 1st class honours degree from Central St Martins and an MA from the Royal College of Art. She has been an Associate Lecturer in Product Design and Ceramics at Central St Martins for over fifteen years. She is a Senior Lecturer at Kingston School of Art on the Product and Furniture Design Degree, where she writes and runs projects promoting British manufacture through projects exploring slip-casting ceramics and also sand-casting metals.
